1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and Orbit Hiring App (“Orbit”, “we”, “us”, or “our”). By visiting the Orbit website, joining the waitlist, submitting a form, or using an Orbit service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree, please do not use the website or submit information through it.
2. The Orbit service
Orbit is building a video-first hiring platform for people and businesses in Qatar. Before launch, the website may provide information about Orbit, collect early-access and student interest, receive company or contact enquiries, and communicate with people who submit forms.
The website and waitlist are pre-launch services. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee access to the app, a job, an internship, a client, a hire, a contract, or any particular launch date.
No payment is required to join the waitlist. Any future paid features, payment processing, escrow arrangements, or marketplace services will be governed by additional terms presented when those services become available.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Orbit’s website, waitlist, and forms. By using Orbit, you confirm that you meet this requirement and can enter into these Terms.
4. Waitlist and communications
You agree to provide information that is accurate and belongs to you when you submit a form. You may join the waitlist as a job seeker, graduate, professional, employer, recruiter, or other audience shown on the form.
By joining the waitlist, you agree that Orbit may send a welcome or confirmation email and, where applicable, launch and early-access updates. You can unsubscribe from non-essential updates at any time using the available unsubscribe option or by emailing hello@orbithiringapp.com.
You must not submit another person’s email address without permission, attempt to create duplicate or misleading registrations, or use the forms to send unsolicited advertising.
5. Acceptable use
You may use Orbit only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not harm the website, Orbit, or another person. You must not:
- Submit false, fraudulent, defamatory, abusive, unlawful, or intentionally misleading information.
- Impersonate another person, company, recruiter, or organisation.
- Attempt to access systems, records, accounts, or information that you are not authorised to access.
- Probe, scan, overload, disrupt, scrape, reverse engineer, or interfere with the website or its security.
- Upload malware, harmful code, or content that infringes another person’s rights.
- Use Orbit to discriminate unlawfully, harass people, or facilitate illegal activity.
6. Information and content you submit
You retain your rights in information and content that you submit to Orbit. You give Orbit permission to host, store, review, format, and use that content as reasonably needed to operate the website, manage the waitlist, respond to you, assess interest, and develop the service.
You are responsible for having the right to submit the information or files you provide. Do not submit confidential information belonging to another person or organisation, or anything you are not authorised to share.
Our collection and handling of personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Trust, verification, and hiring outcomes
Orbit may describe features such as identity verification, video profiles, secure payments, or escrow-protected contracts as part of its planned product. Availability, scope, and eligibility for these features may change before launch.
Any verification or profile information made available through Orbit will not by itself guarantee a person’s identity, qualifications, conduct, availability, financial position, or performance. Orbit does not guarantee that a user will find work, receive applicants, be hired, be paid, or complete a contract successfully. Users are responsible for making their own decisions and carrying out appropriate checks.
8. Orbit’s intellectual property
The Orbit name, logo, website, designs, text, graphics, software, and other materials provided by Orbit are owned by or licensed to Orbit and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-transferable permission to access and use the website for its intended purpose.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, republish, or create derivative works from Orbit materials without our written permission.
9. Third-party services and links
The website may link to third-party websites or services, including Instagram, Web Summit Qatar, email providers, and other external resources. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies. Orbit does not control and is not responsible for third-party content, security, availability, or practices.
10. Availability and changes
We may change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the website, waitlist, forms, or communications at any time. We do not promise that the website will always be available, error-free, secure, or compatible with every device.
We may update these Terms as Orbit develops. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. If a change is material, we may provide additional notice through the website or email where reasonable.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the website and pre-launch services are provided on an “as available” and “as is” basis. Orbit disclaims warranties that cannot lawfully be excluded, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Orbit will not be responsible for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive loss, or for loss of profits, opportunities, data, goodwill, or business arising from your use of or inability to use the website. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.
12. Suspension and termination
You may stop using the website and ask us to remove your waitlist information by contacting hello@orbithiringapp.com, subject to the retention rules in our Privacy Policy.
We may suspend or restrict access to the website or remove a submission if we reasonably believe that you have violated these Terms, created a security or legal risk, or used the website improperly.
13. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Qatar, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Subject to any mandatory rights you may have under applicable law, the courts of the State of Qatar will have jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Orbit website.
