Orbit was born from a real, personal frustration with how impersonal hiring here can be — and a belief that a market this ambitious deserves modern, video-first, trust-verified hiring.
Our story
Hiring in Qatar still runs on static resumes, slow agency processes, and fragmented channels — a LinkedIn post here, a WhatsApp group there, word of mouth everywhere. Businesses can't quickly find verified, trustworthy local talent. Job seekers have no single place to show who they really are beyond a text CV. And for freelance work, there's no secure way to guarantee both sides follow through on payment.
Orbit fixes all three at once: video profiles up to 90 seconds long, so personality and skill come through, mandatory identity verification (QID for talent, CR for businesses) so trust is built in, and escrow-protected contracts so payment is never the reason a deal falls apart. Built mobile-first for Qatar, in QAR, with Arabic support on the way — and an eye toward the wider GCC.

Where we are today
The core product is built and working — profiles, Reels, job search, applications, contracts with milestones, messaging, meetings with real Zoom integration, AI Matches, and reviews. We're now completing App Store submission readiness: identity verification, payment gateway integration, moderation tools, and final polish. Launch is close, starting in Qatar.
