1. Who we are
Orbit Hiring App (“Orbit”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is a Qatar-based hiring platform operated from Doha, Qatar. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal information when you visit the Orbit website, join the waitlist, contact us, submit an internship interest form, or otherwise interact with our pre-launch services.

2. Information we collect
We collect information that you choose to provide through our forms. Depending on the form and your answers, this may include:
- Contact details such as your name, email address, and Qatar phone number.
- Waitlist details such as whether you are a student, graduate, professional, employer, or recruiter; your field of interest; and your nationality.
- Student details such as your year of study and university.
- Company and contact details such as a company or organisation name, business information, and your message.
- Internship-interest details such as your university, major, expected graduation year, interest areas, availability, applicant status, nationality, and any information or files you choose to submit.
- Information you include when you write to us or request support.
We may also receive basic technical information from the browser and hosting environment, such as device and browser information, IP address, timestamps, and request logs, for security, reliability, and site operation.
Joining the waitlist does not require a password, payment card, QID, passport, date of birth, or photograph.
3. How we use information
We use submitted information to:
- Add you to the relevant Orbit waitlist or interest list.
- Send a welcome or confirmation email and, where you have agreed, launch and early-access updates.
- Respond to questions, company enquiries, internship interest, or support requests.
- Understand demand and improve Orbit’s website and future hiring services.
- Protect the website, prevent abuse, investigate suspicious activity, and maintain records.
- Comply with applicable legal obligations and protect our rights.
We do not use waitlist information to sell personal data to advertisers. Orbit emails are about Orbit’s launch, products, opportunities, and related updates, not unrelated third-party advertising.
4. Emails and your choices
When you submit a waitlist or related form, we may send a welcome or response email to the address you provided. We use an email delivery provider to send these emails and to help maintain the Orbit waitlist contact list.
Every future marketing or launch update should include a way to unsubscribe. You can also contact hello@orbithiringapp.com to ask us to stop sending non-essential emails or to remove your information. Unsubscribing from launch updates does not necessarily stop essential replies to a message you sent us.
If you received an Orbit email without intending to join the list, please tell us so we can investigate and remove the address.
5. How we share information
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We may share the minimum information needed with service providers that help us operate Orbit, including:
- Google Sheets: waitlist and related submission records are mirrored there for internal administration and follow-up.
- Email delivery and contact-list providers: email addresses may be used to deliver welcome emails and Orbit updates and to maintain the relevant waitlist contact list.
- Hosting, database, and file-storage providers: these providers may process submitted information or uploaded files to host the website, store records, and keep the service secure and available.
We may also share information if required by law, to respond to a lawful request, to protect users or the public, or in connection with a restructuring, sale, or transfer of the business. We do not provide form information to a third party merely because a person visits a link to Instagram, Web Summit Qatar, or another external website.
6. Storage, security, and retention
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect information against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, or alteration. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.
We keep information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described here, including managing the waitlist, responding to enquiries, reviewing internship interest, maintaining business records, resolving disputes, and meeting legal obligations. Retention periods may differ by the type of submission and the provider involved.
7. Cookies and local storage
The website may use browser storage for essential preferences and site operation, including remembering your language choice, preserving campaign source information attached to a submission, and remembering whether a waitlist popup should be shown again. These values are not used to sell your information.
Browsers and hosting systems may also create technical logs needed for security and reliable delivery. You can control browser storage through your browser settings, although some site features may not work as intended if it is disabled.
8. Your rights and requests
Subject to applicable law and reasonable verification, you may ask us to access, correct, update, delete, or explain our use of personal information you submitted. You may also withdraw consent for non-essential communications and unsubscribe from Orbit updates.
Send requests to hello@orbithiringapp.com. We may need to verify the request so that we do not disclose or delete information belonging to someone else. Some information may need to be retained where required by law or needed to establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
9. Age requirement
Orbit is intended for people aged 18 or older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18 through the waitlist or forms. If you believe someone under 18 has submitted information, please contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
10. International processing
Our service providers may process information in countries outside Qatar. Where that happens, we will take reasonable steps to use providers with appropriate security and contractual protections, subject to applicable law.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our services, providers, or legal obligations change. We will post the updated version on this page and update the effective date. Material changes may also be communicated through an Orbit email or another reasonable notice.
